We loved our cruise to the Mexican Riviera in 2006 so much that John and I will be joining our friends Susan Purney-Mark and Daphne Grieg on another quilting cruise in April of 2009 to HAWAII !! I will be teaching a one-day class in hand applique with some fabric painting to create the beautiful Hawaiian state flower, the yellow Hibiscus brackenridgei. Here's a photograph of what we'll be making.

In the meantime, I am learning as many Hawaiian songs as I can find. John will bring along his ukulele, too!
