Greetings! |

Greetings! It's been a busy month for me. Launching the new Block of the Month has involved a steep learning curve, but I think I'm ready for the launch on May 1st. It's very exciting! John and I head out for a show in Coupeville, Washington in a week and a half, so I'm getting my fingers in shape again to prepare. Happy quilting,

What I'm Working On
Needless to say, the preparation of the patterns for the Star and Plume quilt have been taking all my attention this month. It's one thing to make the quilt, but another thing entirely to explain how I made it! Here's another block in greys (with a little theme fabric for a zinger). I'm loving it!
As you can see by the picture at the top of the newsletter, I am dabbling with my 3/8" hexagons, too. Maybe I should do a "design-as-you-go" quilt this time? Can I let go of the control enough to improvise my way through a whole quilt? It's worth a try....

Upcoming Tours:
Our schedule is clear until April 15th in Coupeville, WA. I should be able to get a whole lot of quilting done by then! In May, we will be doing a "busman's holiday" driving trip to the Yukon and Northwest Territories. I have never been to the Yukon before. NEW GIGS ANNOUNCED: John continues to organize our huge tour in 2014, again around the perimeter of the US and Canada. The confirmed gigs are up on the website already. He has just confirmed our very first appearance in West Virginia for June 2013!! We STILL haven't sung in Mississippi or Arkansas. Help! For details on any of these performances, please get in touch, or visit the Tour Itinerary page of the website where there are contact addresses for each performance. |
